Dance Expose has turned out many talented and skilled dancers since its inception in 1992. Keith Kool, one of Dance Exposé's original dancers, has been in numerous Broadway productions, including "Fiddler on the Roof," and "Sweet Charity." Of course, Keith is just one example. Many talented and eager individuals have come through our doors to audition for Dance Exposé, unfortunately they couldn't afford to take part in the company. That's why Dance Exposé would like to offer 6 one-year scholarships; four at $2000 each for four female dancers and two at $1000 each for two male dancers. Candidates will be chosen through a rigorous interview and audition process.
Eligible candidates must meet the following criterion: Must be over 14 years of age with some dance experience in ballet, tap, jazz, etc. Must maintain a 3.0 grade point average during the scholarship period if the individual is still in school. Scholarship recipients will be required to do work-study (i.e. promotion of events) for the company.
However, in order for this goal to become a reality we need the support of the community and government. This is your opportunity to support the arts through a scholarship program that guarantees your money will go directly to benefit a deserving dancer. We are looking for individuals or businesses that would be willing to sponsor one of the six dancers elected to receive this scholarship.
